Chevron Donates $120K to the Foundation

Chevron recently continued its support of the Carlsbad Community Foundation with a $120,000 contribution.  The purpose of the gift is to support the Foundation’s long-term charitable mission and the Chevron Catalyst Fund, which Chevron established at the Foundation in 2017.

“Chevron seeks partners in the communities where we live and work who help expand opportunities for health, education, and economic development,” said Nathan Carroll, Chevron Operations Superintendent, Delaware Basin.  “The Carlsbad Community Foundation is an exemplary partner with an acute understanding of the Carlsbad community’s needs. We are grateful for their work in administering this grant and excited about the deserving programs selected this year.”

In 2016, Chevron became an organizational benefactor at the Foundation and continues to demonstrate that its major donor status represents an ongoing commitment to the community.  Through the Chevron Catalyst Fund, the Foundation has managed a competitive grant program that has benefited diverse needs throughout the area.  The first awards were made in 2018 and the program has continued each year, since.
