Our hearts go out to all in our community during this difficult time. Special thanks to those on the front lines of this crisis, including those providing essential services. As a community foundation, we celebrate all philanthropy, whether it is through us or not. We are heartened to see the generosity of individuals, businesses, organizations, and corporations as we work together to help those in need.
We’re here to help
The Foundation is responding to this crisis on both a near and long-term basis. Our approach has included awarding emergency grants to local nonprofit organizations, ensuring delivery of grants that have been in progress and planning for continuance of support to our nonprofit community in the months ahead.
Despite the State of NM Stay at Home Order and the global downturn in stock markets in March 2020, the Foundation continued to operate remotely and finances were structured to continue to operate and execute our charitable mission. On June 1, we re-opened our downtown office to serve our donors, grantees, and scholarship recipients.
